TASC 2008 Excellence Award for “Words of Bondsu201D; project

We are pleased to inform you that Bill Tingling, the Executive Director for the School News Nationwide organization, has been nominated by the State of New York to receive the State’s prestigious TASC 2008 Excellence Award for his “Words of Bonds” project, which recalls the atrocities of the Jewish Holocaust and African-American Slavery.
This event will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Westchester Marriott, 670 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, NY 10591. The event will be Hollywood-themed and will kick off with a cocktail reception from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. followed by the Dinner General Session. Herman Boone captured in the Disney film Remember the Titans starring Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington will be the keynote speaker.
